Your Matches page shows some introductions fully unlocked and others locked and blurred with just a count and a general reason, reflecting your membership tier's monthly introduction limit, and it's built to create anticipation, not to withhold access.
Your Matches page is where the introductions prepared for you show up. Not all of them look the same, and there's a specific reason for that.
Locked matches aren't a paywall trick. Showing a count and a general reason before the full profile unlocks is an intentional part of the experience, meant to build a bit of anticipation rather than hide something from you.
How many introductions unlock reflects your membership tier's monthly introduction limit. Once you're matched with more people than your tier unlocks that month, the rest sit locked until more become available.
Every match can be given a thumbs up or thumbs down. A thumbs up means you're more likely to be introduced to similar people going forward; a thumbs down means less likely. Either way, it only adjusts future weighting: it never permanently blocks someone or removes a match you've already received.

Why can't I see who a locked match is right away?

No. A thumbs down just makes you less likely to be introduced to similar people in the future: it doesn't permanently block anyone.
