Unsubscribing From Emails

Updated 2026-07-09 · Prospect, Member

You can unsubscribe using the link in the footer of any email, or by adjusting your email preferences in Settings. Both lead to the same underlying settings.

There are two ways to stop receiving a particular kind of email, and they both end up in the same place.

Option 1: The link in the email

Every marketing-style email, like a newsletter or digest, includes an unsubscribe link in its footer. Selecting it takes you to your email preferences so you can turn off that category.

Option 2: Your account Settings

If you're already logged in, you can go directly to your email preferences in Settings and turn off individual categories, or use the All Emails switch to turn off everything optional at once.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open your email preferences.
  3. Turn off the specific categories you no longer want, or use All Emails to turn everything optional off at once.

Whichever path you use, System & Security emails will continue. Those cover account and security-related messages and can't be turned off.

Frequently asked

If I click unsubscribe in an email footer, does it affect my other email categories too?

It takes you to your email preferences, where you can choose to turn off just that category or others as well. It doesn't automatically turn everything off.

Will I still get security-related emails if I unsubscribe from everything?

Yes. System & Security emails always continue since they're essential to your account.

Do I need an account to unsubscribe?

No. The unsubscribe link in the email footer works whether or not you're logged in.
