Your Network is your personal contact book combining Connections (people you've connected with on the platform) and Contacts (people you've added yourself), and you can add notes and tags, and import or export the whole list at any time.

Your Network is your personal contact book on Genius Networking. It brings together everyone you've met or added, whether or not they use the platform, in one place you control.

Connections vs. Contacts

Your Network is made up of two kinds of people. Connections are people you've actually connected with on the platform, through a match, meeting them at an event, or scanning a QR code. Contacts are people you've added yourself, manually, by importing a spreadsheet, or by scanning a business card, and they may or may not also be Genius Networking members.

Add a contact manually

  1. Open Your Network and choose the option to add a contact.
  2. Enter what you know: name, email, phone, company, title. You don't need to fill in every field.
  3. Save. The contact appears in Your Network right away.

Import contacts from a spreadsheet

  1. From Your Network, choose the import option.
  2. Upload a CSV file of your contacts.
  3. Review how the fields matched up, then confirm the import.

Notes and tags

Each connection or contact can carry private notes only you can see, along with tags you've applied to help you organize your network your way. Every entry also shows how you originally connected, for example, met at an event, imported, or scanned their card, so you always have context.

Export your contacts

You can export your contacts to a spreadsheet at any time, useful if you want a backup or want to bring your network into another tool.

Notes you write on a connection or contact are private to you. Other members can't see them, even if you're connected.

What's the difference between a Connection and a Contact?

A Connection came from actually connecting on the platform, through a match, an event meeting, or a QR scan. A Contact is anyone you added yourself, whether they're a member or not.

Can I import contacts I already have in a spreadsheet?

Yes, Your Network supports importing a CSV file of contacts.

Is everyone in Your Network a Genius Networking member?

Not necessarily. Contacts you add manually, import, or scan may or may not also be platform members.

Can other people see the notes I add to a connection?

No, notes are private and visible only to you.
