Follow-Up Reminders

Follow-up reminders let you set a date and note to remind yourself to reach back out to someone, then mark your own status, like Met, Followed Up, or Reconnected, to keep track of where things stand.

It's easy to meet someone great and lose track of following up. Follow-up reminders give you a simple way to set a date for yourself and a note about what you wanted to follow up on, right on that person's entry in Your Network.

Setting a reminder

  1. Open the connection or contact you want to follow up with.
  2. Choose the option to set a follow-up reminder.
  3. Pick a date, and optionally add a note about what you want to follow up on.
  4. Save. You'll see the reminder reflected on that person's entry.

Tracking status yourself

You can mark a reminder with a status like Met, Followed Up, or Reconnected. These are yours to set, based on what actually happened.

These statuses are entirely up to you to set. Genius Networking doesn't automatically detect or move someone from one status to another. Think of it as your own tracking system, not an automated one.

Editing or clearing a reminder

You can change the date, update the note, or update the status on a reminder at any time from that person's entry in Your Network, as often as you need to.

Frequently asked

Does the platform automatically update my follow-up status?

No. Statuses like Met, Followed Up, and Reconnected are set by you. They're a personal tracking tool, not an automatic one.

Can I add a note to a reminder?

Yes, when you set a reminder, you can add an optional note about what you want to follow up on.

What happens if I don't follow up by the date I set?

Nothing automatic happens. It's simply a personal reminder to help you remember, and you can update or reschedule it any time.
